About Me

A Personal Journey That Became a Calling

Growing up, I witnessed how alcohol could blur boundaries, suppress emotions, and sometimes fuel harm. I saw people I loved lose parts of themselves to it. Alcohol was often used to numb pain, avoid truth, and navigate relationships in ways that left deep emotional scars. What struck me most was how hidden this all was and how difficult it could be to recognize or discuss.

During my college years, I had close friends in relationships that were both emotionally and physically abusive. They were intelligent, vibrant, and capable individuals, yet they gradually became silenced by emotional manipulation, fear, and isolation. While I didn’t always have the words to describe what was going on, I could sense their fear, confusion, and the slow erosion of their true selves.

I also witnessed beloved individuals trapped in violent dynamics, often concealed under a façade of normalcy or cultural silence. After college, I encountered more of the same: strong, brilliant people caught in cycles of harm, shame, and silence.

Over time, I realized:

This wasn’t just my story; it was everywhere, across cultures, families, and communities masked by high-functioning smiles and unspoken rules.

I learned that trauma wears many faces and that most people are doing the best they can with the tools they possess. However, when those tools are no longer sufficient, that’s when the real work of healing begins.

My Work Today:

This understanding led me to a path of healing for both myself and others. I earned my PhD in psychology and became a Life Coach specializing in trauma-informed, emotionally attuned support.

Today, I work with individuals navigating:

This journey is not just about goal setting, it is about healing and reconnecting with parts of yourself that may have been silenced, overlooked, or shamed. My approach is rooted in positive psychology, compassionate coaching, and deep respect for your autonomy and lived experience.

Our Mission Statement

I believe that every person has the power to thrive, not merely survive. As a Certified Transformative Life Coach grounded in positive psychology, my mission is to help you reconnect with your strengths, rediscover your purpose, and create lasting, meaningful change from within.

By combining evidence-based tools with genuine human conversation, I support my clients in transitioning from feeling stuck or overwhelmed to feeling energized, aligned, and fulfilled. Together, we focus not just on what is wrong, but on what is strong, cultivating your resilience, optimism, and authentic self-expression.

I won’t rush your process. I walk beside you, helping you make meaning of your story and move forward on your terms.

My Philosophy

Trauma-Informed:

I recognize how past wounds shape present patterns and offer a space where your nervous system can feel safe.

Client-Centered:

Your pace, your voice, and your values lead the way.

Holistic:

We explore not just what’s wrong, but what’s possible.

Empowering:

I am here to help you remember your strength, not to “fix” you.

If you are here, you have already taken a brave step. You don’t have to face this journey alone.

Let’s walk it together.

Our Vision Statement

NAEDU was created as a safe space through blogging for those without a voice to express their feelings and provide possible resources. Growing up in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, our founder witnessed, observed, and heard of intimate partner violence (IPV). At times it appears that such violence is accepted, especially if it “warranted.” While attending undergraduate school, she knew classmates that were sexually assaulted and in physically abusive relationships. Unfortunately, in most instances, the incidents were never reported to the proper authorities. There were several reasons, but the most common was fear or the thoughts that no one believed them. At the graduate level, the founder decided to research intimate partner violence (IPV) and its relationship to alcohol consumption. Many individuals reached out to her regarding their childhood sexual abuse experience (s), sexual assault (s), and intimate partner violence due to the research topic. It is for these reasons why the blog was created.

Release Statement

If you are in danger, please contact the local authorities in your country or someone who can help and protect you. This site is not designed to provide medical or psychiatric advice, but you can share your stories and receive access to resources in your area.
